This game is a favorite among younger kids and can be played in almost any setting. Gather the children in a circle and choose one to be “it.”
The child chosen to be “it” will walk around the circle gently tapping each seated child on the head calling them “duck” until choosing one to be the “goose.” Once chosen as the “goose,” that child must then jump up and chase the other child, “it,” around the circle hoping to catch “it” before he or she sits back down in the goose’s spot. If “it” gets caught then he or she goes another round to choose a goose. Otherwise, if “it” makes it to the goose’s spot to sit down, the goose becomes it and the game begins again.
