Gather a group of at least three children (more children = more fun) and an object to be your “hot potato” and get ready to play this fun game. You will need some fun music, so a radio, CD player or a willingness to sing out is necessary too!
Instruct the children to be seated in a circle and start the music. The players will pass the “hot potato” around to each other, skipping no one, until the music stops without warning. The player caught holding the “hot potato” is out of the game. The music starts again and the game is played until one player is left.
Variations: If you don’t have a source of music and are afraid to sing too loud, then be ready to yell “HOT” without warning as the “hot potato” is being passed around the circle.
This game can be played rain or shine inside or outside.
